Return to Isla Parida & Bahia Honda, March 2009

We returned to Isla Parida and met up with the caretaker family again. They wanted photographs, but when we were in David, we tried but no photo shops would take a memory stick. I made necklaces for the kids and we printed a couple of photos for them instead.
Here are the kids wearing their new necklaces. I'm not sure if the boys really thought this was a great gift...the don't look all that pleased! They are standing in front of their tiny little house.
This is the entire family on the beach.

This is Bruce and his brand new family on Fifth Element! Great people that we already knew from Bahia Caraquez. We met up with them again in Bahia Honda.
Domingo (see older Bahia Honda entry) came out to greet us as we were anchoring. Interestingly enough, he didn't offer any goods for sale to us, but took orders from others. We asked Nuage to send him our way when he came by, and they did. We took these provisions in exchange for all the money we'd spent before and the $5 we'd "lent" him. He obviously had no intention of repaying that money, and was hoping we'd forgotten. He then asked for gasoline for his motor. He's got it down to a fine art! It was a bit disappointing because we happily paid more than others for everything we got. But, at the end of it all, he wanted more from us than the others and wasn't appreciative at all.
