We had time, on the day Flavit was sanding and getting ready to re-do our topsides' gelcoat, to take a day off in Cartagena. Below are a few shots of the beautiful old town. We just love this area!!

Lots of art shops with some of the artists being remarkably good.

I didn't actually paint, last year...not sure why as I had plenty of material from last year. So, Now I will have more.

These wooden balconies are spectacular!

Horses and carriages are the thing for tourists, especially the ones off the cruise ships.

Plaza Santa Domingo.

This is Plaza Santa Domingo. we come here often. The hawkers are always here, but go away when you say no thanks.

These Police officers were hanging around the corner of the square, not sure why. This lady approached them and had her photo taken with them.

You just gotta love those faces!!!

They seem to be having just too much fun to be working!

No, inspite of how it looks, this is NOT me!

These ladies charge for photos, but Ralph stole these.

Very colourful and picturesque!

A whole group of policemen/women arrived at the square, but they seemed to be on a tour.

As at home, the local sponsors advertise and probably provide the chairs and tables. These wooden ones are sponsored by the local beer, Club Colombia.

There are usually travelling musicians who will come and play for you for a charge. This group is taking a break, from the heat, under one of the restaurant umbrellas.

One of the restaurant tables in the buildings around the square...just a lovely little spot.
This is a short video clip of Plaza Santa Domingo, where we like to go and have a drink and people watch. Most of the stills above were taken there.
